Basel-based, multi-talented musician Alexia Thomas releases an EP with two tracks from the electronic experimental side of her work and once again proves her astonishing ability to move effortlessly within different genres and turn them into her own.

Inspired by club music and the atmospheres that surround the young artist while out and about, “When I’m Gone” lets us dive into a mysterious landscape where an experimentally treated voice, sometimes floating ethereally, sometimes stuttering and chopped up, appears dreamlike between fluttering beats and lunar synthesizer loops.

The musical ideas are executed in full consequence, they are not half-born or incomplete: the worlds in Alexia Thomas’ music are envisioned with the kind of undividedness that only a sharp creative mind can bring back from the realm of inspiration.
